We have committees which focus on particular topics like utility undergrounding, drainage, membership, local real estate activity, social events, holiday decorations, etc. Any member can become involved through the committee process and eventually run for election to the board. The Aqualane Shores Association belongs to all of the members and its governance is a reflection of those who take the time to volunteer and become involved. In other words…you’re in charge if you are committed to being so.

Q - Where can I dispose of household hazardous waste?
A - Old paint, oil filters, used motor oil, yard chemicals, batteries… these definitely don’t belong in our landfill. Q - How does the Emergency 9-11 System work?
A - Telephone service providers, public safety agencies (e.g. NPFD, and Collier County Sheriff’s Office), and equipment and software vendors have significant and often complex interdependencies in support of the E9-1-1 system. All elements must work in harmony for uninterrupted service. The integrated efforts of all these businesses make E9-1-1 public safety possible. ~Taken from the City of Naples Website
Q - What Constitutes an Emergency?
As defined by the NPFD, an “emergency” is “An immediate life- or property-threatening situation or crime in progress.” The telecommunicators are usually the first responders to citizens’ calls for help and provide them with the sense of urgent concern that their calls beckon.
To help you decide if your call is an emergency, ask yourself, "Are police, fire department, or paramedic assistance needed right now to protect life or property?" If you answered “yes,” IMMEDIATELY DIAL 9-1-1 and fully cooperate with the communicator who answers your call.
Q - You Can Assist 9-1-1 Call Takers by following these basic guidelines:
Remain calm.
Answer all questions. While you are giving the telecommunicator vital information, emergency units are en route to your location. Therefore, answering questions won’t delay their response.
Follow the 9-1-1 telecommunicator’s instructions; your cooperation could make the difference between life and death.
Q - Using Your Cellular Phone
Wireless (cellular) phones are very common. If you own one, you can assist public safety by dialing 9-1-1 whenever you observe an emergency situation. MORE INFO

“Residents of the City of Naples may obtain their free annual beach parking permit from City Hall at 735 8th Street South. Residents must provide proof of residency, specifically, a drivers license and original vehicle registration, both with the same name and address within the City limits. Non-residents who own property in the City limits must provide a copy of their Collier County tax statement reflecting an address in the City limits, as well as their current drivers license and vehicle registration.
Effective October 19, 2011, City Beach Parking Permits will be available to purchase for $50. These stickers are ideal for non city/non county residents or non city/non county property owners who are visiting and wish to park at the city or county beaches without paying an hourly or daily fee. You may purchase this beach parking sticker from the Cashier at City Hall, 735 8th Street South.
Collier County residents (outside the City limits) can obtain their free Collier County Beach Parking Permit at most of the Collier County Community Parks including the Freedom Memorial Park on Golden Gate Parkway and the Collier County Public Library at 650 Central Avenue.
City and County Beach Parking Permits are valid at any City or County beach where beach permits are accepted.

http://www.colliergov.net/Index.aspx?page=2665#Residents
Beach parking permits must be firmly affixed to the inside of the windshield in the lower corner of the driver's side of the vehicle. They are not transferable. Vehicles with valid beach permits may park free of charge in metered spaces at City and County beaches, beach ends of City streets, and in any space designated as requiring a beach permit.
Beach parking permits are valid for one year only. Observe the month that is punched on your beach parking sticker, and remember to replace the permit before the month ends.”
Q - What if we don’t have a beach parking permit?
Many beach ends in the City have parking meters for customers that do not have a beach parking permit. Parking meters take quarters only, with each quarter allowing 10 minutes of parking, or a total of $1.50 per hour. There are no vendors that will provide change, so plan to bring your own quarters.
Two parking areas have multi-space parking meters. If you visit Lowdermilk Park or the Naples Pier, you’ll find the “pay to park” machines. These machines, conveniently located near the entrance to the parking area, accept coins, bills and VISA/MC. Every ten minutes of parking costs $.25, or a total of $1.50 per hour. When you exit your vehicle, make a note of your parking space number, because you’ll enter that information into the parking machine.
Most parking violations (tickets) at the beach ends cost $32, although some may be higher, such as parking in a no-parking zone or in a handicapped zone. Therefore, please be sure to follow the parking regulations to avoid a parking ticket.” ~The City of Naples website
